Who we are
Mourne Basketball Club is a community basketball club based at Shimna Integrated College, Newcastle, County Down. For any questions about your data, contact us at mournebasketballclub@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you use our contact / waiting-list form, we collect the information you choose to give us:
- Your name and email address;
- If you are registering a child, the player’s name and age group;
- Anything else you include in your message.
How we use it
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, to manage our waiting lists, and to contact you about joining or taking part in the club. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Children’s information
Where a form includes a child’s details, that information is provided by the parent or guardian completing the form. We treat it with particular care and use it only to organise the child’s participation in the club.
How it is stored and shared
Form submissions are stored securely in our website’s content system and emailed to club officials. We use trusted service providers to run the website and deliver these emails (our hosting provider and our email provider). We do not share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and waiting-list information only for as long as needed to deal with your request and to run the club, after which it is deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To make a request, email mournebasketballclub@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
